The Story of Po
Over four decades ago, this little Chinese boy born in the cold winters of Winnipeg, MB, Canada had no idea where he'd end up.
I was a quiet, shy and introverted kid (at the extreme end of the spectrum too).
I could go an entire day without saying one word to another human being and I'd be ok with that.
It took almost four decades to understand and realise, that that's ok.
It's normal for an introvert to be like that.
I was "supposed" to get a job working in a corner by myself devoid of any social interaction.
Life took me on a completely different path...
Iin my early 20's, I moved myself to Asia to exererience life and take myself out of my comfort zone.
Having lived my entire life in Canada, I packed up and moved to Hong Kong during the height of the Asian Financial Crisis (perfect timing right?).
My plan was to give it a try, find a job, do some travelling and return to Canada in about two years...
...well, twenty-one years later...I did return to Canada.
While in Asia, I worked for a listed British company where I eventually became the Head of Marketing for Asia.
After experiencing the epidemic of SARS, it planted a seed inside me to start taking more control of my life.
I co-founded a corporate training business that competed with the big boys in the industry.
Then I counded a digital marketing agency out of frustration with seeing a lot of crappy agencies in the market.
Not another blog...
I debated for awhile whether I should bother putting time into a personal blog.
But I realised I wanted to write about a wide range of topics that didn't really fit with my other business sites.
I wanted something where I can share my thoughts and musings with like-minded people.
I know there's already a lot of content (e.g. blogs, articles, etc) on the interweb, I mean do we really need another blog?
But I realised I may not have a big following (nor is that my goal) but I'm sure there are others out there who share the same frequency of thinking and interests and that's what this is for.
Plus, it's a way for me to get all the rambling thoughts out of my head.
As a self-confessed shy-introvert, writing is a healing exercise for the chaos running through my mind.
I don't seek fame or being some kind of influencer.
Warning: This is my personal blog so there is occasional cussing/swearing. If you don't like it, then change the channel.
You've been warned.
